Schwarz

Arnold was born in Drohobycz in 1927, the son of Ribsia and Herman z”l. He had two sisters, Ludka and Risia, z”l.
During the holocaust, the family was moved to the Drohobycz ghetto. Arnold, as a teen ager boy worked in a factory producing accessories for the German army. Later, the family built and hid in a bunker under their own house, where they were joined by 48 other Jews. They stayed in the bunker for 18 months until liberation. The entire family survived.
The family left Poland in 1945 and immigrated to Brazil. Arnold married Celia in Rio de Janeiro and they had three daughters: Tania, Evelyn and Solange. Arnold and Celia immigrated to Israel in May 2016.
