Submitted by Shir Beck; Interviewed by Dr. Zvi Reiter in 2016.Tuvia Beck z”l was born in Drohobycz. He had two sisters and one brother. Tuvia’s parents and siblings were murdered in the Shoah.
As a child, Tuvia fled to Tashkent (Uzbekistan). At the end of the war he immigrated to Israel on board the Exodus. He fought during the War of Independence and other Israel wars.
He worked at the cement factory of Solel-Boneh.
Tuvia had four children: Lea, David, Kobby (Shir’s father) and Alon.
