Luba Lewenauer- Lev Naor (Hauptman)
Luba was born in 1920 in Boryslaw to Amalia and Moses Hauptman. She had a sister, Tzila and a brother, Israel.
Until the outbreak of World War Two Luba lived with her family in Boryslaw, where she completed her studies in a technical school in the mechanical engineering department and received her matriculation certificate (under the Soviet rule, between the years 1939 and 1941).
With the outbreak of the war between the Soviet Union and Germany in 1941, Luba (as well as her siblings and other young people) was transferred eastward into the Soviet Union. Her parents remained in Boryslaw and perished in the Holocaust. During the war, Luba was employed in a bullets manufacturing plant.
At the end of the war, she returned to Poland and was sent by the authorities to Wałbrzych. There she met and married Yaakov Lev Naor. Her only son, Edmund, was born there.
The family moved to Warsaw in 1950 due of Yaakov's work. There Luba worked as administrator at the Health Minister’s office. In 1957 due to political changes, Luba decided to undergo retraining and enrolled in physical therapy studies. She completed her studies in 1958 and began working as a physical therapist in a children's hospital.
In 1969 she immigrated to Israel with her family and immediately started working at Kupat Holim. She worked there until her retirement in 1980. After a short period of time, she returned to her job at Kupat Holim and continued to work there until the age of 80.
Luba died in 2015.
