First Generation Meeting Tlv 2016
On 25 November 2016, we held a meeting in Tel Aviv with Ms Otylia Grunshlag and Mr. Arnold Schwartz - both born in Drohobycz as well as Ms. Judith Rosenblum, born in Boryslaw.
More than 20 of our 2nd and 3rd generations heard from them about life in the towns of Drohobycz and Boryslav before the
Holocaust. They also listened to the heart wrenching story of Arnold Schwartz and his family in a bunker where they hid with 46 other Jews during the war. Questions were asked and fascinating answers heard.
Again we witnessed those unforgettable miraculous moments, when it became clear that the names of parents and families or lost friends, found a response from
our 1st Gen survivors: "Of course I knew them!"
